You are entitled to your opinion. Please keep it to yourself. Lowell would be the first to admit that he is not perfect, but he certainly is not an idjit. Oh, sorry that looks a bit like your monicker.

I was horrified by the "Trophy Room" article in the Interiors Edition. I have been to Africa numerous times on PHOTOGRAPHIC safari which suppported local economy but did not result in the death of animals--including endangered onces such as black rhino. Inclusion of 10 varieties of cats (including cheetach, leopard, and cougar) is horrifying. Large cats are disappearing in the wild at an astonishing rate and Mr. Daoest has helped a few more to "disappear".

The fact that Mr. Daoust would consider a stuffed Giraffe to be a "trophy" is laughable. They are large mammals that live on the plains of Africa and have no way to hide or escape from hunters in vehicles. It would be like shooting domestic cattle in a pen.

As for protecting endangered animals by belonging to the Safari Club. Granted, the Safari Club may help fund conservation but I submit that the $39,000 spent on stuffing a giraffe would do much more for the environment and the animals.

I refuse to have this magazine in my house again.

Thank you for being so generous with your knowledge Lindsay, I could have read much more about sex work stigma. As a sex-positive feminist, I am so thankful for people like yourself who speak out about these issues.
